Who We Are

We are the essence and art of going faster. We are athletes and designers who understand and share the need to go faster today than the day before. We are endurance. Alpha Q understands that you must explore the endurance threshold and expand its boundaries. We understand challenge and commitment; we feel your desire to attack relentlessly.

History

Starting with the first fork hand-crafted in a small San Leandro, California studio in 1994, Alpha Q has quickly gained acceptance among racing elite for ultra-light forks featuring patented Carbon Rooting Technology™. This far reaching technological breakthrough allowed Alpha Q to create the first all-carbon forks and the first fork to break the 300 gram threshold. The rest is history. Alpha Q has continued pushing the performance envelope with winning Aero fork designs, off road CX fork technology and speed componentry designed to make you go faster than ever before.

Technology

Alpha Q pioneered all-carbon forks and Carbon Rooting Technology CRT™. Alpha Q craftsmen were interested in carbon fiber as a component materialearly on in the development lab. Dismayed with the weight and performance of forks on the market- and unwilling to compromise by adding non-carbon materials to the fork structure- Alpha Q was committed to pushing known materials and manufacturing limitations.

Developing our first all-carbon fork in 1992, the team patented Alpha Q Carbon Rooting Technology CRT™ which integrates the steerer into the fork body using a rooting technique to provide continuous fiber throughout the fork for superb strength and incredible stiffness. This technology is used at the Alpha Q composite facility in El Cajon,California. Led by a team of carbon fiber specialists, competitive cyclists, triathletes and former aerospace engineers, Alpha Q continues to refine designs, materials, and manufacturing techniques creating the lightest, fastest components on earth.
